Vocal Training
(Group / Individual)
At Genie Sound Advice, we believe that everyone can sing, or can be trained to sing better. We have different modules to cater to students of different levels and needs. Each of the modules will typically last for about 3 months. You can join at any level. All we ask is that you take an assessment before enrolling.
Level 1: Introductory -
This course is an introductory course designed for people with little or no experience of singing, but who would like to discover their voices. At a very basic level, students will learn the beginnings of vocal technique and musicianship, and gain enough confidence to progress to the next level.
Level 2: Lower Intermediate -
For people who have been singing for leisure for a while. In this course, students will learn to improve on their vocal techniques, aural skills and musicianship. Concepts that would have been learnt at the introductory level will be reinforced.
Level 3: Upper Intermediate -
This course is designed for those who have been singing for quite some time, be it as an avid enthusiast or a semi-professional. Students will learn more advanced vocal techniques and independence, flexibility and adaptability. The course will also cover performance skills and the development of an individual style and approach.
Level 4: Advance -
For the more seasoned singers who sing a lot as a soloist, in a band or a group. At this level, students will learn, apart from advanced vocal techniques, improvisation skills, sight-singing skills, stage presence and microphone techniques.
Crash course -
This is designed for those who have very little time for long courses. Conducted over 5 sessions, the course will introduce the students to the concepts and materials taught in the Level 1 course and some of those in Level 2. However, due to the intensity of the sessions, there will not be much chances of practice and it is recommended that the students practice on their own after the course.
